Participants reviewed the glorious history of Vietnam since President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

Ivan Kanapathy, Director of the National Security Council, spoke highly of Vietnam's role as ASEAN Chair amid increasing security and development challenges.

The US welcomed Vietnam's contributions as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, affirming that Vietnam will continue to play a central role in the US' vision towards a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
