During talks with staff of the US Embassy in Cairo, Blinken noted a relatively quick approach by Egypt to this matter, and said the US and Egypt are now working closely together to build something positive that will allow Palestinians and Israelis to live in safety and security.

The same day, following a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi, UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab reiterated the UK’s commitment to a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
