Vietnam is one of the countries most affected by climate change and natural disasters. Unusual weather events are occurring more frequently and becoming more difficult to predict. When natural disasters happen, children are always especially vulnerable, so it’s urgent to improve the awareness and survival skills of children, particularly those who live in coastal provinces.

The competition is part of a project, sponsored by the Green Climate Fund, the UNDP, and the Vietnamese government, to strengthen climate change resilience in vulnerable coastal communities in Vietnam.

The competition will take place in June and July for junior high school students nationwide. The award ceremony will be in August or September.
