(VOVworld) – UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has urged the international community to build a sustainable and resilient future.
In his message to mark International Earth Day, Ban asked every person to be mindful of the impact our choices have on this planet, and what those impacts could mean for future generations. He said that as a global community, we have the opportunity to make 2015 a turning point in human history when we choose to build a sustainable and resilient future.
This year, the world aims to finalize the post-2015 sustainable development agenda and reach a new and meaningful universal climate change agreement.  These processes have the potential to reshape our future for the better.
