Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women November 28th, the United Nation launched a website for its member countries to exchange and share experiences in dealing with the violence against women and girls. Speaking at this event, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for increased action to deal with the global pandemic of violence against women and girls. Ban considered violence against women and girls as strongly violating the human rights and urged countries to have stronger measures to stop this violence. On this occasion, UN will hold a special seminar at its headquarter in New York over this issue.
