The Ukraine president’s office said in a statement that if any country has information that can help a transparent and objective investigation of the tragedy, they are ready to receive it and cooperate in further verification.
The same day, Iran formally invited the US National Transportation Safety Board to take part in its investigation of the crash and the agency agreed to assign an investigator, an Iranian official said on Thursday. Iran also informed other nations about the situation, including Ukraine and Canada.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a day of national mourning in Ukraine on Thursday for the 176 victims.
