(VOVWORLD) - UK Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove said Sunday that the door is ajar for post-Brexit trade talks to continue if the EU will change its position.

The UK and the EU have conducted many rounds of negotiation since the UK left the EU early this year, but they are deadlocked over fishing rights, a mechanism for resolving conflicts, and fair market competition.

If the UK and EU fail to strike a post-Brexit trade deal, they will revert to World Trade Organization terms.
