Officials have told The Telegraph that the jab will be available in the UK from next week, after the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) granted an emergency use license.

The news comes after Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Nov 20 asked British regulators to start assessing the Pfizer vaccine.

Matt Hancock has said the UK becomes the first country in the world to have a clinically authorised vaccine.
