At the inaugural of Tuyen Quang's exports of agricultural products to the UK |
This marks the province's inaugural entry into the European market. Prior to this, Tuyen Quang introduced over 50 key products, specialties, and OCOP-certified items to European markets. Although Europe is known for its stringent regulations on plant quarantine, food hygiene, safety standards, and traceability, the province's products have received positive feedback.
For this initial export phase, six items were selected. Additionally, an order for 10,000 to 15,000 Soi Ha green-skin grapefruits has been placed, with exports anticipated in late October 2024.
A representative of Tuyen Quang's leadership emphasized that this shipment represents a significant first step toward expanding the province's key agricultural products internationally.
Looking ahead, the province plans to continue supporting producers in improving product quality and packaging, enhancing trade promotion, and expanding market reach. Efforts will also focus on introducing and connecting OCOP-certified products with domestic and international markets, including supermarkets, shopping centers, and e-commerce platforms.
