(VOVworld) – A Turkish military helicopter with 14 people aboard, including senior officers, crashed today in Giresun province, near the Black Sea. The Dogan news agency said the aircraft crashed in the Tohumluk highlands at about 5 p.m. local time after the officers had visited troops for the Eid al-Fitr celebration to mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. A brigadier general and two colonels were among the passengers.
