Trump signs 900 billion USD COVID-19 relief, government-funding measure

(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump has signed into law a massive 2.3 trillion USD spending bill that includes a 900 billion USD coronavirus relief package, averting a government shutdown and extending coronavirus aid to millions suffering from the economic impact of the pandemic.

The government spending bill allocates more than 740 billion USD for national defense and around 664 billion USD for domestic programs related to transport, agriculture, health care and homeland security.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 relief bill aims to support the unemployed, economic supporting packages and small enterprises.

Each American citizen with an income less than 75,000 USD/year or married couples with incomes under 150,000 USD/year will be supported with 600 USD/per person.
