The ritual to erect the Neu tree ahead of Tet

Visitors were treated to a Kitchen Gods farewell ritual, a carp releasing ceremony, and the erection of the Neu tree which is believed to ward off evil spirits. The citadel is one of Vietnam’s 10 special national heritage sites and was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2010.
