Export stood at 8 billion USD, import at 6.2 billion USD. So the trade surplus of agro-forestry-aquatic products reached nearly 1.8 billion USD.

Products that had increased export value included coffee, rubber, rice, pepper, milk and dairy products.

Asia was the largest export market of Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery products, accounting for 40% of the total market share, followed by the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and Africa.

The United States continued to be the largest export market for Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery products. China ranked  second and Japan ranked third.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said Vietnam will continue to boost sales of agricultural products in Peru, Australia, Brazil, China, and the United States.
