According to a directive of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) will provide free internet access through Wi-Fi at the city’s attractions.

Since August 2017, Hanoi has provided free public Wi-Fi at Hoan Kiem Lake, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Huong pagoda, Bat Trang ceramic village, and other tourist sites.
