At the press conference after the talks, Hungarian National Assembly Speaker László Kövér said: “This visit is not only valuable for cooperation between the assemblies, but it will bring values and achievements in economic, scientific and technical cooperation, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries. For Hungary, Vietnam is a particularly important country and partner in Southeast Asia. The strengthening of this relationship is not only based on the traditional friendship but also on the similarity in politics and views between the two countries.”
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue reiterated Vietnam’s wishes to continue enhancing the scale and effectiveness of the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Hungary established in 2018.
“The Chairman and I had a very successful meeting not only because of the relationship between the two parliaments, but also because of many cooperation directions to develop and promote the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. In addition to bettering political and diplomatic ties, we reached a high consensus between the two Assemblies to continue promoting the Government and National Assembly's cooperation to improve efficient cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education and training, labor, science and technology, as well as other areas of cooperation in which Vietnam and Hungary still have a lot of potential,” Mr. Hue said.
