During a working visit to General Department 2 at the Ministry of National Defense on Sunday, Mr. To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam, said that amid regional and global complexity and unpredictability, national intelligence needs to build a solid and flexible posture and maximize the combined strength of methods and forces.

He stressed the need to build a team of officers with sharp professional vision and thinking, qualifications and knowledge commensurate with their responsibilities and tasks, meeting both immediate and long-term mission requirements.
