Mr. Trong said this year’s National Day celebration coincides with the organization of Party congresses nationwide in preparation for the 2021 National Party Congress.

He emphasized the responsibility of fulfilling President Ho’s testament and the Declaration of Independence and maintain independence and freedom at all costs.

On September 2, 1945, President HCM read the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
