Thai Binh looks to attract more investment from Republic of Korea

(VOVWORLD) - The Republic of Korea has always been a reliable partner in multiple fields for Thai Binh, Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said at a conference Tuesday to promote Korean investment and mark 30 years of bilateral diplomatic ties.

Thai Binh has 26 projects worth 128 million USD invested by Korean companies. 100 Korean experts are living and working in Thai Binh.

There are great opportunities for Korean firms to expand investment in Thai Binh, especially in industry, Than said, stressing that the local authorities will ensure an attractive, transparent, and open investment environment, and create the most favourable conditions for investors.

RoK Ambassador Park Noh-wan spoke highly of efforts by local authorities to remove difficulties facing Korean businesses. He said that once infrastructure facilities in Thai Binh are more developed and high quality human resources are supplied, Korean companies will expand investment there.

At the conference, a number of Korean companies received investment registration certificates and announced their intention to set up a Korean investment support group in Thai Binh (Korea Desk Thai Binh).
