Tet activities for workers held

(VOVWORLD) - Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai and leaders of the Vietnam Confederation of Labor on Sunday visited and presented gifts to poor workers who are constructing the Metro Line 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking to workers at the Ba Son station, Ms Mai praised efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway PMU as well as Vietnamese and Japanese engineers and workers. She expressed her hope that the Metro Line 1 project will be operational by 2020 as scheduled.

Deputy prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited and presented gifts to workers in Long An province on Sunday.

A number of Tet celebration programs are being held nationwide to help workers enjoy a happy Tet.
