In 2018, the NTPs achieved outstanding results across the board with several targets exceeded in both quantity and quality. By the end of 2018, 43% of communes and 61 district-level units achieved the new rural area building standards. The One Commune-One Product (OCOP) program has developed the rural economy by promoting advantaged agricultural, non-agricultural, and service products at each locality. On this occasion, the Government presented awards to winners of a media contest on building new-style rural areas.
