Mr. Vo Chi Cong visited people in Phuoc Son district, Quang Nam province in 1989

(VOVworld) – A symposium titled “Chairman of the Council of State Vo Chi Cong with Vietnam’s revolution and his homeland of Quang Nam-Da Nang” took place on Sunday in Tam Ky township. The event is part of activities to mark the 100^th birthday of Vo Chi Cong. More than 60 reports highlighted the late leader’s contributions to the nation, his ordinary lifestyle, talents, strategic vision and lofty personalities. Dinh The Huynh, Head of Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, said:“The success of today’s symposium will help further motivate and encourage ministries, branches, localities, state employees, party members, people and army personnel all over Vietnam to work and study harder to successfully implement the resolution of the 11^th National Party Congress and the Party Central Committee’s resolutions, especially the resolution on the party building and rectification. Through this symposium, we all call on party members and people of all social strata to follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples. We should educate today’s young generation about our patriotic and revolutionary traditions.”

A memorial relic site in honor of Chairman of the Council of State Vo Chi Cong in Quang Nam province was recognized a national heritage at a ceremony on Sunday.
