The delegation of the Party Central Committee led by Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong pay tribute to Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen

Among the mourners were Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and Vietnam Fatherland Front President Tran Thanh Man.

In the mourning book Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong wrote that Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen was an outstanding, prestigious leader of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people, and a loyal and creative communist who made great contributions to the national liberation, reunification, renewal, construction and defense. Mr. Trong called General Nguyen’s passing a great loss to the Vietnamese Party, State, and people.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc writes in the mourning book for Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen

Mr. Dong Sy Nguyen died last Thursday at Central Military Hospital 108 in Hanoi after a period of serious illness.

The burial took place at 5pm on Wednesday at Vinh Hang Cemetery in Hanoi’s Ba Vi district.
