(VOVworld) -The State Bank of Vietnam will carry out measures to help fishermen access loans and feel financially secure during their time at sea. Governor Nguyen Van Binh told leaders of the Ly Son island district in the central province of Quang Ngai on Thursday that the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development’s Ly Son branch will improve its transaction policies and open more transaction counters on the island to provide loans for fishermen and businesses in an effort to develop the maritime sector and invest in tourism. On this occasion, the governor also handed over 470,000 USD, donated by commercial banks, to the district’s authorities.
