Vice Chairman of Song Ma district People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said, “The export of longan to the EU and the UK will promote agricultural production, market Vietnam’s agricultural products to the international markets, generate jobs, and increase income for longan growers in Song Ma district and Son La province.”

Son La expects to harvest 98,500 tons of longan this year, of which nearly 22,000 tons are eligible for export, mainly to China, Australia, the US, and Europe. Song Ma district is currently the largest longan granary in Son La province.
