Solutions introduced to ensure sustainable development of Ngoc Linh ginseng

(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat on Saturday discussed with leaders of Kon Tum province and relevant local departments the development of Ngoc Linh ginseng.

Kon Tum province has more than 1,260 ha of Ngoc Linh ginseng with the total output estimated at 213 tons. Kon Tum plans to expand the total growing area of Ngoc Linh ginseng to 4,500 ha by 2025.  

At the meeting, many solutions were introduced including speeding up the implementation of projects under the National Product Development Program and  improving national technical standards for analyzing, testing and controlling quality of Ngoc Linh ginseng.

Minister Huynh Thanh Dat said that the Ministry will assign relevant agencies to quickly study and implement the solutions which are important and fundamental solutions for the sustainable development of Ngoc Linh ginseng products.
