Soc Trang praised for achievements over 3 decades of re-establishment

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has highlighted Soc Trang province’s  achievements over the past three decades and its contributions to the national growth.

At the 30th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment province on Wednesday, the Prime Minister asked the Party Committee, government and people of Soc Trang province to promote solidarity and self-reliance and make the most of local potential and advantages for the province’s comprehensive socio-economic development. 

On this occasion, Prime Minister Chinh presented Soc Trang province with the Ho Chi Minh Order in recognition of its contributions to the national revolutionary cause. He also handed over his decision recognising Soc Trang city as a tier-2 urban area.

The same day, Mr. Chinh visited the planning area of Tran De seaport, Tran De industrial park, and Long Phu 1 thermal power project in Soc Trang.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Chinh visited Huynh Cuong ethnic boarding school in Soc Trang city, where he urged the students to study well, pay attention to extracurricular activities and physical training, and promote traditional culture.

Prime Minister Chinh asked the provincial leaders to invest more in infrastructure, education, health care, and culture, and create the best conditions for teachers and students to maximize their potential.
