The project will observe September 8 as Day to honor Vietnamese language abroad.

It aims to raise the awareness of the overseas Vietnamese community towards the Vietnamese language, cherish the beauty and value of the Vietnamese language, and incentivize individuals, organizations and associations that have made active contributions to preserving and spreading the Vietnamese language in the overseas Vietnamese community.

The project will motivate efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of Vietnamese language teaching and learning in the community, promote the local government and educational institutions to teach Vietnamese in areas inhabited by a large number of Vietnamese people.
