Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh

Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh, who is Head of the Steering Committee for the compilation and publishing of the White Book, said the 2018 edition aims to spread the viewpoints, directions and policies on national defense of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Military Commission. The White Book also provides information on the building of the people-based national defense, the people’s army and the matter of external cooperation in defense.  The Deputy Minister said the book serves as material for training in the Party’s defense and military guidelines and the State’s defense policy for officials, officers, soldiers and people, raising their awareness about the task of national defense in the new era. He noted that the publishing of the 2018 White Book of Defense of Vietnam is also aimed at making known more of the particulars about the country’s national defense apparatus
