Truong Cong Su, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Brno and South Moravia, said this is an opportunity for the overseas Vietnamese to  promote their native culture: This event is very important to us because it helps local people understand more about Vietnamese culture. It shows that the OV community in Czech Republic are willing to integrate into Czech culture.

Marek Fiser, Chairman of Brno’s Minority Council, said the OV community is an inseparable part of Czech’s multi-racial culture. “Many Czech people, including me, love Vietnamese cuisine and have experienced many Vietnamese cultural festivals," he said, "I hope the Vietnamese community will integrate more with Czech culture so as to develop frendship and unity.”

This first Vietnam Culture Day in Brno was organized 4 years ago to celebrate 65 years of Vietnam-Czech diplomatic ties.
