Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani told reporters following his US visit that the Arab ultimatum was aimed not at tackling terrorism but at curtailing Qatar’s sovereignty, adding that Qatar is willing to engage in a dialogue about the demands of its neighbors.
The US and several other countries have voiced their support for Kuwait’s mediating role. The US State Department on Sunday called on all parties to be restrained and push for negotiations.
