In a Telegram post Medvedev said a total ban on exports to Russia would imply a ban on imports from Russia, “including categories of goods that are the most sensitive for the G7”.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that G7 officials are discussing the possibility of “completely banning most exports” to Russia ahead of the G7 summit scheduled to take place from May 19-21 in Japan.

Some products might be exempt from this ban, such as pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, and food.
