(VOVworld) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia does not intend to worsen its relations with the US and has never violated agreements on the global security balance.

He said in an interview with CNN that Russia was familiar with words of the American military that war with Russia is inevitable, in fact Russia has never aimed to provoke a war with the US.
Lavrov said Russia will not withdraw from conventions which are the foundations of global strategic stability, while in 2002 the US unilaterally withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty signed with Russia in 1972.
