Russia, China sign several co-operation agreements

Russian and Chinese state banks signed agreements worth 24.4 billion USD on currency exchanges and memorandums on anti-monopoly and preventing illegal transportation of nuclear and radioactive materials. Both sides also agreed on a project to provide China with natural gas through eastern pipelines. The project, dubbed “Siberia power,” is part of a May agreement between the Russian Gazprom gas corporation and the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation.
