Deputy PM Dung praised Lotte’s business operations in Vietnam since 1996, saying the group has promoted Vietnamese farm exports to the Republic of Korea (RoK) and other countries. He also lauded Lotte’s involvement in social welfare programs. He said Vietnam encourages enterprises to expand their investment in new areas, particularly transportation infrastructure, energy, and urban development.
Mr. Lee said Lotte is pooling resources to embark on several smart urban development projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and will call on RoK firms to invest in Vietnam and support start-ups here.
