The Tuan Chau Digital Technology Zone is expected to help turn Quang Ninh into a new technology hub of northern Vietnam, bringing together companies specializing in AI and next-generation technologies. FPT’s large-scale investment will contribute to driving digital economic growth and laying the foundation for Quang Ninh to break through and reach regional prominence in the age of artificial intelligence.

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed that the corporation will soon invest in an IT and innovation center in Tuan Chau. FPT also plans to establish a research and training center and foster connections between domestic and international technology investors and enterprises. The aim is to make Tuan Chau a core center of science, technology, and innovation, supporting green and circular economic development by 2030 in Quang Ninh province.

In 2025, the province ranked third nationwide in the Provincial Innovation Index (PII), rising three places compared to 2024. This strong performance provides a crucial foundation for the province to effectively implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
