(VOVworld) - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday in the Kremlin to discuss efforts to end Syria’s civil war.

Mr. Putin said the two countries should work together to find a solution to the crisis in Syria and to differences between Russia and the US. The two agreed that a new international negotiation on Syria crisis should be held in New York on Friday.

Earlier, Kerry met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Mr. Lavrov said Russia and the US agreed to hold another minister-level meeting of the International Syrian Support Group in New York on Friday.
