Protest calls for climate action ahead of WEF 2020

(VOVWORLD) - Swedish young activist Greta Thunberg joined thousands of protesters on the streets of Lausanne, Switzerland Friday, just several days before the World Economic Forum (WEF) for the world’s business and political leaders in Davos.

So far during this decade, the world is seeing no sign whatsoever that real climate action is coming, Greta said, adding that that has to change. Friday's protest of 15.000 people participating brought the cobbled streets of the city centre to a standstill, with demonstrators calling for urgent climate action and booing as they passed a branch of Credit Suisse, which campaigners criticise for its fossil fuel investments.
