At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, Chairman Hue congratulated China on its COVID-19 containment and impressive economic recovery. Mr. Hue said he believes the Chinese Communist Party and General Secretary Xi Jinping, who is also China’s President, will lead China to further accomplishments.
Chairman Hue briefed Ambassador Xiong on Vietnam’s 13th National Party Congress and the fine-tuning of the State apparatus. He said Vietnam attaches special importance to maintaining and developing its neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese Party, State and people.
According to the Chinese Ambassador, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Zhanshu wants to phone Chairman Hue to discuss closer ties between the two legislative bodies.
