Prime Minister visits residents affected by flooding

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday visited and gave gifts to a number of families suffering from storm Molave , which hit Quang Ngai and Quang Nam provinces on Wednesday. The Prime Minister also visited teachers and students of Chau O Secondary School in, Binh Son District, which suffered heavy damage with most of the classrooms unroofed by the storm.

Visiting people in Tam Quang commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province, the Prime Minister urged the army and police forces to urgently support people to stabilize their lives by repairing hospitals, clinics and schools. He asked Quang Nam province and Nui Thanh district to use resources from the central government and other aid packages, not to let the people go hungry or becomes homeless after the storm.

The Prime Minister also visited those injured by the storm and are being treated at the General Hospital of Quang Nam. He asked the hospital to waive all hospital fees for them, the Military Region 5, departments and localities to care for the victims, especially the children.

During the meetings with local authorities, Prime Minister Phuc expected local authorities and people affected by storms and floods to quickly recover  and prepare well for storm Goni, the 10th and the biggest storm since the beginning of this year that is forecast will make a landfall on mainland Vietnam on Wednesday.
