Called “Ca Mau Rendezvous”, the event gave investors and businesses an opportunity to share experience and propose ways to connect Ca Mau with other localities.  It was also an opportunity for Ca Mau to showcase products of its wetland ecosystem.

In his address, Mr. Phuc said: "The Ca Mau Cape Culture and Tourism Week is an opportunity to promote Ca Mau as a dynamic and open locality. At this event, we will inaugurate a flag tower that imitates the one in Hanoi. It reflects the affection of the Party, authorities and people of Hanoi for Ca Mau. It is also a symbol of national unity and sovereignty.”

PM Phuc asked Ca Mau to pay more attention to conserving and tapping its wetlands ecosystem and World Biosphere Reserve for tourism development and scientific research, and to preserving its landscapes and local culture.
