At a reception in Seoul on Wednesday afternoon for President of the Association Choi Young Joo, Mr. Phuc praised the Association’s effective activities and urged further assistance for the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea. He said Vietnam always creates the most favorable conditions for Korean businesses to succeed in Vietnam, particularly in investment licensing. He expressed his hope for more Korean investment in Vietnam and exchanges to mark the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2022.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his spouse arrived in Seoul on Wednesday, beginning an official visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in. The visit followed the ASEAN-RoK Commemorative Summit celebrating 30 years of their dialogue partnership and the first Mekong-RoK Summit in Busan.
During the visit, Mr. Phuc is scheduled to hold talks with President Moon. The two leaders then will witness the signing of several cooperation documents. The Vietnamese PM will also meet with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the RoK, as well as leaders of Seoul. He will attend a Vietnam-RoK business forum and receive the executives of a number of major RoK groups and companies.
