Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his delegation were welcomed at Charles de Gaulle International Airport by COP 21 Organizing Board representatives, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son along with numerous embassy staff. Immediately after their arrival in Paris, they laid a wreath at the memorial to late President Ho Chi Minh in Montreuil and visited embassy officials and employees and Vietnamese community representatives in France. He said that there are currently 4.5 million Vietnamese people living in approximately 100 countries and territories and they are an integral part of Vietnam: “The Vietnamese Party, state, and people are always concerned about the overseas Vietnamese and hope that they will remain united and support each other in the host countries. We hope that they will always turn to their homeland and contribute to relations between Vietnam and their countries of residence.”

Prime Minister Dung also received Secretary General of the France-Vietnam Friendship Association Jean Pierre Archambault. He shared the losses of the French government and people in the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and said that the measures being deployed in France will bring the culprits to justice. He said he hopes that the France-Vietnam Friendship Association will continue to foster friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the coming years.
