Prime Minister encourages Nghe An’s tree planting, works with provincial leaders

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a ceremony in Nghe An province on Sunday to respond to the national program of planting 1 billion trees “For a green Vietnam.”

At the launch ceremony in Truong Bon historical site, Do Luong district, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment gave 10 thousand trees to the locals. Nghe An leaders said that in the next 5 years, the province will plant 50 million trees, contributing to the 1 billion tree planting program initiated by the Prime Minister.

On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with key leaders of Nghe An province and urged them to work harder to realize the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Prime Minister Phuc also attended the opening ceremony of the Cua Hoi bridge over the Lam river, connecting the coastal road between Nghe An and Ha Tinh province.

He offered flowers and incense at the Truong Bon historical site, commemorating the heroic young volunteers who died for national independence and freedom.

On Sunday afternoon, the Prime Minister paid respect to  President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien relic site, which conserves historical-cultural space, artifacts and documents about the childhood of President Ho Chi Minh and his family’s members.
