Prime Minister attends National Great Unity Festival in Cao Bang

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged Cao Bang province to step up its COVID-19 fight and economic recovery, while continuing to mobilise community resources to help the poor and disadvantaged, especially those affected by the pandemic.

Mr. Chinh on Monday joined residents of Ha Quang district at a National Great Unity Festival, where he underscored the strategic importance of unity in fulfilling the nation's potential and raising its prestige in the international arena by 2045.

PM Chinh lauded efforts by Ha Quang district and Cao Bang province to boost socio-economic development and ensure social security.

He reiterated the goals of safely and flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring socio-economic activities, and asked Cao Bang to use community resources to pursue those goals.

The Festival was held at the Pac Bo special national relic site, where President Ho Chi Minh returned to his homeland after 30 years abroad seeking a way to save the nation.
