This was his first public comment on the impeachment trial.

Trump claimed he was treated “unbelievably unfairly”, called the impeachment a "witch-hunt", and strongly condemned Democrats as leakers and liars. He complained that this should never, ever happen to another president.

Trump also slammed Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and Adam Schiff, chairman of the US House Intelligence Committee and the lead impeachment manager during the Senate trial.
