President Tran Dai Quang meets staff of the Vietnamese embassy in Cairo, Egypt, August 26, 2018.

President Quang urged the embassy to continue advising the Party and State on strengthening relations in all sides with Egypt. President Quang said: “I hope the embassy staff will continue to promote diplomacy in economy, politics, culture, defense, and security. Particular attention should be paid to people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Egypt to create a solid foundation for bilateral relations.  As many more Vietnamese are coming to Egypt, we should organize a Vietnamese Association to enhance mutual support within the Vietnamese Community here.”

Egypt’s Shourouk News said President Quang’s visit will boost new cooperation between the two countries, especially in tourism. It published an article by Shah Al-Orabi, former Foreign Minister and member of the Egyptian House of Representatives, who suggests that Egypt harness the tremendous potential of Vietnam to expand its cooperation in Asia.
