President Nguyen Xuan Phuc receives 92 patriarchs and heads of villages in Hanoi on April 19, 2022.

President Phuc reiterated the Party and State’s goal of improving the living conditions of ethnic minority people, and highlighted policies to preserve and promote ethnic cultures.

The President said village chiefs play a key role in leading local movements to improve the life of ethnic minority people.

He asked ministries, sectors and localities to pay more attention to ethnicity affairs and uphold the role of the leaders.

He said village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people need to set an example in the community and encourage the locals to promote cultural traditions, self-reliance, and national unity to contribute to national development and international integration.
