Preisdent Quang made the statement at a conference to review the “All people protect national security” movement over the past 2 years held by the Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi on Wednesday. He urged for renewed measures to make the movement meet new requirements of security protection and be combined with other patriotic emulation movements. He said:       “Efforts should be made to build a lean, mean, and efficient apparatus of People’s Public Security forces, who are close to the people. The forces should play a key role in the movement on “All people protect national security” and build a good image of the police in the public’s heart. Attention should be paid to the training of full-time cadres in charge of the movement to successfully implement their  functions of state management, consultations, and movement development. It’s necessary to consolidate the grassroots political system, a core force of the movement.”

President Quang called for the replication of role model, self-management, self-defense, self-protection, and self-reconciliation models.
