(VOVworld) – The 8th Congress of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists opened in Hanoi on Wednesday.
In his address, President Truong Tan Sang praised the Association’s performance over the last 5 years: “The Association and its affiliates at all levels should continue to update their operations with specific plans and actions. Coordination with relevant ministries and sectors should be strengthened to improve the quality and role of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists. It is essential to propose appropriate policies to encourage and facilitate art creations.”
During the Congress, delegates will discuss ways to promote stage arts in the media, honor outstanding artists and artisans, and develop new talents in the coming years.
