The President applauded Ho Chi Minh City's initiative in spending funds for the poor and the disadvantaged, but he said the city needs to do better in taking care of the people during Tet, especially those who are heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also urged for efforts to effectively implement measures to prevent and control the pandemic, ensuring a peaceful life for people. Mr. Phuc urged enterprises to promote production and business, pay more attention to the lives and incomes of workers, and restart production right after Tet.

On Sunday afternoon, President Phuc worked with Ho Chi Minh City’s National Assembly Delegation. He asked them to strongly condemn serious law violations, especially cases contrary to social ethics like child abuse. In addition, the National Assembly Delegation needs to adhere to the guidelines and policies of the Party and the laws of the State, and uphold its responsibility to the Party, voters and people, Mr. Phuc said.
